Gordon Muessel
Prior to founding Libertas in 2001, Gordon spent 15 years in corporate banking and capital markets. He has worked at leding Corporate Banking institutions including CIBC, Citibank, and GE Capital in the fields of Asset Based Lending, Leveraged Finance, Sponsor Coverage, Corporate Lending, Private Equity, Collateralized Loan Obligations, Securitization, and Loan Syndications.
Gordon has spent the past 25 years in recruiting and consulting and intimately understands the needs and challenges facing our Financial Services clients. The combination of Gordon’s deep industry expertise and his extensive network of bankers allows us to achieve extraordinary results.

Chris leads the firm’s Legal Services Recruiting practice, bringing over 25 years of experience practicing law with leading U.S., U.K., and international law firms, as well as in-house roles at major US and global institutions. He has held Partnership and Senior International Counsel positions with top-tier firms, including Baker McKenzie, Duane Morris, and Watson Farley & Williams, along with key roles at the U.S. Department of Transportation and the World Bank.
Chris offers deep expertise in legal recruitment and advisory, with a strong understanding of global legal and financial markets. His international experience and extensive network enable Libertas to deliver best-in-class legal hiring solutions tailored to law firms & financial institutions.
